Hello Fetal Positioners;
Starting today I’m going to begin posting my video series “Ungodly” here on Substack.
“UnGodly” has been an ongoing project of mine, a verse-by-verse commentary on the Bible, beginning with Genesis and continuing until God kills me, which considers what lessons we might learn from the Bible if we read God as the antagonist of the story - someone we should strive not to be like, rather than as the noble protagonist we’ve read Him as until now. Perhaps He Who Floods the World in Anger is best not emulated. Perhaps that was the intended lesson all along, and we just got it backwards. Or perhaps this is just another reason I’ll be going to Hell.
Like crack cocaine, the first three will be free, with later installments for Paid Subscribers only. As God would prefer you to be. Best viewed in-app, link below.
Yours in the fetal position,
S.
I don't like leaving comments on my own posts, or wading into current events, but given what's going on in the Middle East today, this one seems depressingly well-timed.
"Al Aqsa." "Feast of Torah." "God is good."
Fuck this shit.
Somewhere along the line I realized that the idea that "man [sic] was made in the image of God" had it backwards. Clearly, God was made in the image of man. And not the kind of man you would want to spend much time with.
