Ok I figured it out. When I got to the end and I saw her name Orli. And it reminded me of the great ending of the movie that I think about often, The Founder, where after taking over the company Michael Keaton playing Ray Kroc asks the McDonald’s brothers what really is the secret to the chain’s success, and they reply, “the system?”, and he says: “It's not just the system, Dick. It's the name. That glorious name, McDonald's. It could be, anything you want it to be... it's limitless, it's wide open... it sounds, uh... it sounds like... it sounds like America.”
It’s that glorious name Orli. Nobody could fail having married that name.
This was too painful to read at first… my fellow lunatic of 50 years left our shared padded cell just a whisper over three years ago… Your writing, Shalom, brings a bright spot to my desolation. Thank you.
I'm so sorry, Judith. It's not much, but perhaps this larger community of lunatics in this larger padded cell will be of some small comfort. Quoteth the cat: We're all mad here.
As someone about to mark 50 years of marriage, I say truer words were never spoken. Shared insanity is the most reasonable explanation.
Happy anniversary. So glad you found your person.
Here’s to you and your wife and to lunacy. Like you, I am lucky beyond lucky- 37 yrs.
A very sane response to a crazy world.
Happy anniversary, Orli and Shalom!
Congratulations! 🎉🎈🎊
God bless you two gorgeous brilliant lunatics. 12,045 days is amazing. Bravo. Finding the right lunatic is indeed the great gift.
Bloody hell. I’m happy you two kooks found each other. I like the things you’ve created.
Happy anniversary Shalom! Lol!
I love both of you.
"I hope you find your lunatic, too."
We should all be so lucky to find your elevated level of lunacy.
Now if I could just find a way to monetize it...

Nice of you to say, Jeffrey - though I came pretty damned close to it in the early years.
And combined with Shalom, that's a pretty cool pair of names...maybe you should start a franchise :)

Here's Alan Dugan's great poem on the same topic: https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poems/55170/love-song-i-and-thou-56d236709aeab
The un-feh of life is finding the right fellow-inmate 😊
Definitely the recommended treatment.
So lovely... who the fuck are you calling a lunatic?
Way to hijack my post, asshole.
